I love the way you took a timeless religious portrait, and made it a little darker and surreal. I took it in a very philosophical sense, and because of that, it makes it a far better piece of art, in my opinion. This is great work.

Thank you very much! :D As you took it in a philosophical sense, I should add that the idea of this is connected to another of my paintings called "Beelzebub The Fourth" ([link] - see the eye) expressing a thesis that Jesus was, just like the serpent, the Devil trying to lead the Jews off the righteous path... Remember how many people died during crusades, etc. - that's why he's reaching out for the spoon with the blood so much (you can't really see that on the photo, though)... Anyway, thanks again for your comment, I appreciate it!

I admire the audacity of that, and I do see the connections.

I am using Primo: [link] (they don't seem to have English version of their website as of now) for black & white. They cover quite well, but are a bit expensive. I tried using "Lukas": [link] (those big bottles), but for example the yellow won't cover anything (and they taste terrible :P )... So for my "color spectrum" I use these: [link] - they are primarily to be used for painting walls, but work just fine. I don't use water when painting, so they cover very well and I haven't had any problems with them so far... But the Last Supper - the background is painted with Daler-Rowney ([link]).
